HOW TO ROOT AND CHANGE IMEI OF YOUR SMARTPHONE

Rooting and changing of Android phone's IMEI these days has become a very sure way of maximizing the use of your smartphones. There are some services you can’t ordinarily have access to on your smartphone but when you root and manipulate the IMEI of your Android phones, you can easily have access to those services.

This tutorial will teach you how to Root and change the IMEI of your Smartphones easily. The method  works well with most smartphones we have around these days and also works for other MTK devices that are difficult to change their IMEI through MTK Engineering Mode.

Materials Needed For Rooting
  • KingRoot 4.1.0.249.apk (visit Google play store on your smartphone and download it)
  • A very good Internet.

Follow the steps below to Root Your Android Smartphone

1. Install and run KingRoot. Wait till it detect the phone
2. It will verify your root status Click on START ROOT
3. The rooting process should begin almost immediately.
4. During the process, your device may restart, never mind, your device is safe. As soon as your phone or device reboots, the rooting process will continue automatically.
5. You may get a prompt to install an app. Ignore the warning, mark the check-box and tap “Install anyway”
6. Wait for the rooting process to complete!
7. You can download root checker from Play Store to verify if your phone is rooted or not Click here to download Root Checker. After downloading, simply Install and run it.


Follow the steps below to Change Your Smartphone IMEI

1. Download Chamelephon.apk clich here to download now
 
2. Open Chamelephon and grant it superuser access permission (a message will pop up asking you to grant superuser access permission, click YES. you can only do this if your phone is rooted)

3. The first box is for the IMEI of the sim 1, if you are using a dual sim phone. And the second box for Sim 2.

4. Input the IMEI number you wish to change to in any of the boxes. Simply leave any of the boxes you did not wish to change as the way you met it. 

5. Then click Apply New IMEIs.

6. A popup box will ask “Do you confirm changing the IMEIs?” Click on Change button.

7. Close everything and restart your phone or put it in Airplane mode for 5 seconds before you back it to normal mode, then dial *#06# to view your new IMEIs.


Please Note

- Changing of IMEI is illegal in some countries, Inquire of your country before you try this.
 

- backup your original IMEI incase you encounter a problem, you can always revert to your original IMEI using this same procedure.
