What is Peace Corps of Nigeria?
Peace Corps of Nigeria is a Non-governmental, Non-profit making Uniform Youth Organization established with a vision and mission to train, educate and giving moral orientation to the youths, as part of its complimentary efforts of preparing youths for future leadership roles in the society which is part of the art of nation building.

How can I be enlisted into Peace Corps of Nigeria?
To be enlisted into the Peace Corps of Nigeria, the following conditions must be fulfilled by the interested candidate:

  • Obtain your enlistment form, fill and return to the designated office with the following documents:
  • Certificate of Origin;
  • Birth Certificate or declaration of age; and
  • Photocopy of all your Educational Certificates.
  • Attend Physical fitness interview and screening of the credentials submitted.
The successful candidates would be called for a four-week Initial Orientation, which would also attract payment for service uniform and orientation fees.  

What type of membership am I eligible to?
Depending on your age and your educational qualification, you could become a Volunteer or a Permanent Staff Officer.

Is Peace Corps of Nigeria a Security Out-fit?
NO! Peace Corps of Nigeria is a Uniform Youth Organization established to compliment efforts of government agencies, who are saddled with the responsibilities of maintaining Peace, Law and Order in Educational Institutions and the Society at large.

Who is a Permanent Staff Officer?
Permanent Staff Officer is an officer who went through four weeks initial training as Cadets after which they metamorphose into a Permanent Staff Officer Cadre of Peace Corps of Nigeria and they are entitled to monthly remuneration and they are also recognized as employees of the Corps.

What do Permanent Staff Officers do?
Permanent Staff Officers assist relevant law enforcement agencies of government in curbing crimes, violence and social vices among youths in schools and the society at large.

Who is a Volunteer?
This category of membership are not employees of the Corps, as such they do not receive remuneration but are entitled to identity card, uniform, kits, T-shirts, caps and when used as resource persons during programmes and events draws allowances.

How does Peace Corps Generate funds?
