Bank of Industry Unveils Online Loan Application - Trader Moni

Bank of Industry, Nigeria, has launched a loan scheme in Nigeria known as Trader Moni.Trader Moni was launched in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BoI) in order to enlarge government’s “financial inclusion agenda down to the grassroots, the bottom of the ladder, considering the contribution of petty traders to economic development.

Under the scheme, beneficiaries can get access to loans ranging from N10,000 to N50,000. Its interest free and requires no collateral.


Requirements for the Trader Moni

  • You must be a Nigerian
  • You must be 18 years and above
  • You must be a business owner or a trader
  • You must belong to a market cooperative union in your location
  • You must have a valid identification
  • You must have a valid BVN
  • You must have a valid SIM/phone number that is register with the service providers


How to register for Trader Moni

  • Bank of Industry has engaged not fewer than 4,000 agents to register traders for the loan.
  • A enumeration agent will visit your market place to capture your data. All you need to do is to provide them with your details as specified on the form.
  • You will be be contacted via text messages when your applicaton is successful and when and how to access the loan
  • Those with bank account will receive SMS on how and when to receive the loan
  • There would be Trader Moni representatives at each market/LGAs to give the loan in cash to those without Bank account.
  • Only register traders will receive loan


 Note:
The first amount to receive will be the sum of N10,000.
You will be granted access to receive N15,000 in your next application after you have fully paid back the N10,000.
