A student of University of Port Harcourt, according to eye witness, was shot three times and died on the the spot in a protest which was suppose to be a peaceful one but turned out to be violent.
The protest was laid by aggrieved students of the institution who felt the school has not been very fear on their side by taking decision not to allow them sit for exam if they are unable to pay their school fees before the deadline.
The School authority earlier gave out instruction to all students to pay up their school fees before Monday 11th April on which exams was suppose to commence.
The deceased student was a newly elected President in Management Science Department.
